NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil baseball took part in a pair of high scoring games with Delaware Tech, splitting the twin bill with the visitors by the exact same score.
The Seahawks are now 15-9 for the year.
Game One - Cecil 14, Delaware Tech 13
Mason Richter's RBI single scored Matt Jackson in the bottom of the six, then Trent Wolfe (S, 1) held off Delaware Tech's bats in the seventh for the victory.
Cecil led 9-4 after the third, but Delaware Tech plated nine in the fourth frame to take the lead. The Seahawks scored two runs in the following two innings, then picked up the winning go-ahead run on Richter's knock.
Seven Cecil batters recorded at least one extra-base hit. Richter, Matt Jackson, and Tim Ramirez all homered. Jackson also led the team with four RBI and collected a pair of stolen bases. Ryan James posted two doubles.
Cody Kunca (1-0) grab the win after pitching a scoreless sixth frame.
Game Two - Delaware Tech 14, Cecil 13
Delaware Tech got the last laugh in game two, scoring one run in the eight inning before shutting down Cecil in the bottom to win it in extras.
Cecil scored one run in the bottom of the sixth off a Kaden Kemp single to tie the contest. Neither team scored in seventh, the first frame without a run in the game.
Jevin Seifert finished a single short of the cycle. The freshman homered, tripled, and hit two doubles. Seifert also tossed in five RBI.
Ryan James remained hot at the dish with a home run, while Christian Kleckner also went deep. Chris Woods tripled, singled, and walked twice.
