WYE MILLS, Md. - Cecil baseball dropped two close contests against the Chesapeake Skipjacks on Friday, dropping the Seahawks record to 18-18.
Game One - Chesapeake 5, Cecil 3
Chesapeake did its damage in the early frames, scoring five runs over the first three innings.
Mason Richter grabbed three singles, while Matt Jackson ended with two. Jackson, Woods, and Kemp earned one RBI apiece.
Pat Callahan (2-2) was handed the loss on the hill.
Game Two - Chesapeake 5, Cecil 4
The Skipjacks plated two runs in the seventh to walk off Cecil in the final game of the day.
Jose Romero doubled as a part of his two hits. Jevin Seifert doubled and collected three RBI. Cody Kunca doubled and walked.
Ty Whittaker was solid as the starter, striking out four over 6 1/3 but ended up with a no decision. Chris Woods (1-1) picked up the loss.
