NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil baseball took two from the CCBC-Dundalk Lions on Sunday afternoon to complete a season sweep. The Seahawks improve to 14-8 with the wins.
Game One - Cecil 12, Dundalk 4
Dundalk took an early 2-0 lead, but the Seahawks outscored them 12-2 the rest of the way for an easy opener. Chris Woods tripled, stole three bases, and snagged three RBI. Ethan Neff collected three hits and three runs. Mason Richter led with four RBI.
Mike Preske (2-1) took the win with four innings of relief work. Mason Burlingame pitched the first two frames and Kyle Hyre tossed the last, combining to allow just two unearned runs on a pair of hits while striking out six.
Game Two - Cecil 5, Dundalk 2
The Seahawk scored all five runs in the first two innings, then relied on solid pitching for a win in game two.
Wyatt McDowell (2-0) got the start and kept the Lions off the board for the first five frames. He finished with three strikeouts over six innings while allowing two runs (one earned). Logan Hall (SV, 1) took the rubber in the seventh and grabbed the save.
Jevin Seifert and Andrew Baldini collected one RBI each. Chris Woods and Mason Richter doubled. Woods and Matt Jackson earned two stolen bases.
