NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil baseball defeated the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) Hawks 12-8 on Thursday afternoon. Cecil jumps to 12-8 with the victory.
An RBI single from Chris Woods and a three-run homer off the bat of Jevin Seifert put Cecil in front in the third frame. CSM countered in the top of the fourth and went ahead, but the Seahawks answered with seven runs over the next innings to take the lead for good.
Christian Kleckner led the team with three hits. Kaden Kemp and Braydon Janzer finished with two RBI each.
Pat Callahan (1-1) earned the win from the bump after striking out a half-dozen Hawks over 3 1/3 innings of relief.
