Etta Harris Signs with Goldey-Beacom College
NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil College volleyball's Etta Harris has signed her National Letter of Intent to compete at NCAA Division II Goldey-Beacom College next season.
Goldey-Beacom is a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Lightning finished with 16 wins in 2025, their largest win total since 2005. GBC collected 10 victories over CACC opponents and appeared in the conference's postseason tournament for the second straight season.
Harris led the Seahawks and Region 20 in kills (344), kills per set (4.53), points (405.5), and points per set (5.3). The North East, Maryland native record over 20 kills in a half-dozen matches and 10 or more kills in 14 matches. Harris ended the season on a 15-match streak with at least 10 kills. The sophomore also finished second on the team in aces (35), second in total blocks (31), and third in digs (171).
Harris broke Cecil volleyball's modern program record for career kills on Sept. 3. The outside hitter ended her career with 646 kills. She also smashed the program's single-season kills record, which Harris set in 2024, in a postseason win over Garrett on Oct. 28. Harris received Region 20 Player of the Month honors twice as a sophomore and is a two-time First Team All-Region 20 selection.
