Cecil College Volleyball Announces 2024 Schedule

NORTH EAST - The Cecil College volleyball team has announced its schedule for the 2024 season.

The Seahawks compete at home nine times this season, while also traveling for an additional 15 matches. Cecil starts its season with a scrimmage at NCAA Division II Goldey-Beacom College on Aug. 29.

Head Coach Eden Barton will lead Cecil on a labor day weekend trip to Lackawanna for a tri-match to begin the regular season. The Seahawks return to North East for their home opener on Sept. 4 against Delaware Tech. A jam-packed opening week continues with a visit to defending Region 20 Division 2 champion Harford (Sept. 5) followed by a home tri-match with Carroll and Westmoreland on Sept. 7.

Other September home opponents include Baltimore City (Sept. 10), Anne Arundel (Sept. 17) and Chesapeake (Sept. 25). Cecil also travels to Region 20 foes Montgomery, Beaver County, and Frederick to end the month.

The Seahawks are on the road for most of October, starting with a return match against Delaware Tech on Oct. 2. The month does feature a home tri-match with Howard and Allegany (Oct. 5) as well as non-region games against Harrisburg Area (Oct. 16) and Harcum College (Oct. 23).
