Cecil WBB Wins Home Opener

NORTH EAST, Md. - Freshman guard Bri Shelton's 31-point debut boosted Cecil women's basketball to a 74-70 victory over Delaware Tech during Wedneday's home opener.

The Seahawks begin their 2025-26 campaign 1-0.

Turning Point

The Seahawks found themselves down by nine entering the fourth quarter. However, Ja'Mya Muhammad's nine points helped Cecil outscored Delaware Tech 20-7 over the final 10 minutes to earn the win. Shelton would deliver the dagger, drilling a three with 27 seconds left to put the Seahawks up four.
