Patrick Letts enters his first year as the head coach of Cecil College’s Men’s Soccer program. Pat comes to Cecil from Goucher College, where he was an assistant coach. He was responsible for recruiting in the Maryland area, spefically focusing on prospectives in Baltimore and Harford counties.
Prior to starting his college coaching career, Pat spent seven years coaching high school soccer at Perry Hall, Carver A&T, and Patapsco High School. At Perry Hall, Pat was the Varsity Assistant and JV Head Coach in 2013 before moving strictly to Varsity Assistant in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Perry Hall claimed the Maryland 4A State Championship in the 2015 season, consisting mostly of Pat's 2013 JV players.
Pat has experience with the rebuilding process within club and high school soccer programs. During his early career, Pat improved the Carver A&T soccer team's record to winning 5 games, after a three-year drought of winless seasons. After taking over at Patapsco High School, the boy's soccer program improved to sevens wins, as opposed to the previous year's two wins.
At the club level, Patrick has recently coached with FCUSA and Premier Soccer Club before becoming the Director of Coaching at OLSA. With FCUSA and Premier SC, Pat was responisble for helping players to reach a higher level of competition.
Patrick has his US Soccer F, E, and D license; National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Level 1, 2, 5 and 6 diplomas; NSCAA Goalkeeping 1 and 2 and NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.
In addition to coaching at Cecil College, Patrick is a teacher in Baltimore County at Patapsco High School. Pat currently resides in Kingsville, MD with his wife, Candace and daughter, Natalie.
